We create a positive environment where young athletes build confidence through the game of hockey. We foster a culture where the demands are physical, mental and at times emotional. We hold our athletes accountable to their coaches, teammates, and ultimately themselves as we develop hockey players to be the best they can be on the ice and within the community.

Teams for the 2026-2027 Season
The Queen City Royals Girls Hockey program will have teams at the 10/12U and 14/16U levels for the upcoming season.
Queen City Royals Girls Hockey Director
Laura Lundblad
Laura Lundblad is the Girls Hockey Director for the QCR, bringing elite playing experience and extensive coaching expertise.
She played four years of Division I hockey at Quinnipiac University, earned her MBA, and played professionally in Germany.
With nine years of coaching experience and as founder of Aspire Hockey Consulting, Laura develops players through on-ice training, video analysis, strength work, and prep school guidance, fostering confident, competitive athletes and advancing girls’ hockey pathways.
Girls 10U/12U
Kelsey Neumann
Head Coach 10U/12U
Kelsey Neumann is the Head Coach of the Girls 10/12U Girls Program, bringing a true knowledge of the game to our young athletes.
A former professional goaltender with the Buffalo Beauts, she spent 4 seasons competing at the highest level of women’s hockey.
Kelsey is passionate about developing young athletes, focusing on strong fundamentals, confidence, and a genuine love for the game. Her coaching style emphasizes skill development, positivity, and helping players grow both on and off the ice.
Girls 14U/16U
Alexis Gray
Head Coach 14U/16U Girls
Alexis Gray is the Head Coach of the 14U/16U AA Girls program, bringing a lifelong passion for hockey.
She played with the Jr. Thrashers, TPH, and the Southern Flyers, gaining experience in elite, high-performance environments that shaped her well-rounded approach to the game.
Over the past two seasons with the QCR, Alexis has led multiple teams while building a culture of growth, trust, and accountability. Her player-first philosophy emphasizes development, empowerment, and helping young women succeed in hockey and in life.
Girls 14U/16U
Makenna Webster
Assistant Coach 14U/16U Girls
Makenna Webster is a dual-sport athlete who competed at both the University of Wisconsin and The Ohio State University, winning a National Championship with each program.
At OSU, she was a member of both the women’s ice hockey team and field hockey team. Webster was also a 3-time medalist with the U18 U.S Women’s Ice Hockey National Team.
She is currently a member of the U.S Women’s Field Hockey Team and was drafted by the PWHL New York Sirens.
Girls 14U/16U
Bobby Thomas
Assistant Coach 14U/16U Girls
As a Level 4 USA Hockey Coach, Bobby is entering his 6th season coaching with the QCR Girls Program. In addition to coaching, he is always active on the ice as a player and Level 4 USA Hockey Official.
Bobby is committed to helping each athlete develop to their fullest potential throughout the season both on and off the ice.
